Our residents enjoy playing games including Bingo, Dominoes, Skipbo, word games, word searches, etc.They enjoy monthly auctions, several different bands who come each month, and parties and celebrations.
They enjoy watching the Arkansas Razorbacks on the SEC sports channel and tailgating parties before the games.
Daily exercise, walking program, Nu-Step bike program, garden club, book club, salon services including a men’s hot shave, manicures, pedicures and hair wash/cut/style.
Our Vitality Club Life Enhancement program focuses on the physical, social, cognitive, spiritual, and leisure needs of our residents. All activities are planned to meet one of these areas of life.
We are located within driving distance to the Clinton Presidential Library, as well as local supermarkets, parks and restaurants.
We provide transportation to doctor’s appointments, local restaurants, grocery stores, banks, hair salons, etc. We also enjoy going for van rides to look at the countryside and to look at Christmas lights.
Our residents enjoy three restaurant-style meals each day. Menus are planned by a dietitian to ensure a wide variety of nutritional meals are served. Residents are offered breakfast items in addition to traditional breakfast foods. They also have the choice of appetizers and entrees, and an ‘a la carte menu.
Each resident wears a pendant that functions like a nurse call button. When the resident pushes their button, his or her name appears on the pagers worn by the care staff. If a resident should fall, or if they’re afraid they might fall, they push their pendant and staff will respond.
Visitors enter through our main entrance after entering a code to release the magnetic lock. If the visitor does not know the code, they ring the doorbell. Our fire escapes exit doors cannot be entered from the outside until the alarm is turned off and the door is opened from the inside.
Sensors are active on all exit doors. If a confused resident goes into the courtyard in the middle of the night during the winter, the sensor will alert the care staff that someone has gone out to the patio.
Trained staff and nurses are available 24 hours a day.
Families are invited to participate in Level of Care meetings every six months, or after a change in condition. If a resident becomes ill and needs to go to the hospital, our nursing staff calls and informs the family. Family members who have permission to receive private health information are welcomed to call and speak with our nursing staff with any questions or concerns.
Days and evenings have 4:58 and 5:58 part of the time. Nights have 3:58.
Cats and birds are welcomed in the resident’s apartment. Dogs on leashes are allowed in the common areas, provided they are well-behaved. Dogs may run free in our enclosed courtyard, provided their owner can clean up after them. A pet waste pickup station is provided
Staff participate receive in-service training each month on a wide variety of topics, including information about aging, dementia care, fire-safety, HIPAA, and state- and federal-required topics.
Residents who wander (moving about without a set destination) have many areas within the community and courtyard where they may walk around. Fire exits have sensors which notify care staff when they are opened. There are also alarms on the fire exit doors which also notify the care staff is a resident attempts to elope through a fire exit.
