FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We are a diverse community of seniors with an average age of 84 years old. They enjoy arts and music as part of our life enrichment program.
We plan a rotating calendar of meaningful and engaging activities that touches on Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual and Purposeful well being of our seniors. Programs include but not limited to music therapy and entertainment, art, trivia, balance classes, board and card games and so much more!
The Japanese Tea Garden, Hayward Heritage Museum, Downtown Hayward and a strip mall are within walking distance from Casa. Whether they enjoy leisurely walks Downtown, at the Japanese Garden or shop at Safeway and the Dollar Store. The choice is theirs.
Casa provides shuttle transportation to Medical appointments, banks, churches, shopping, and scheduled scenic drives.
Our Executive Chef plans 3 balanced nutritious meals daily. Our restaurant style dining offers variety of choices. Meals are prepared from scratch. Vegetables are prepared fresh and never frozen. Snacks are offered between meals in the Bistro.
Residents are checked frequently in Assisted Living. Delayed egress are installed in the back doors to alert staff if resident happens to exit.
The Wellness Director and Assisted Living Coordinator are the primary contacts for resident care. Med Care Managers are trained to communicate with families during off hours.
Casa provides staffing according to census and acuity level. Our system dictates how many staff are needed to provide care without compromising quality of care.
Our community is pet friendly. However, we restrict dog sizes to under 35 pounds. All pets must have current vaccination and/or inoculations to be accepted.
All staff receive training that includes Elder Abuse, CPR/First Aid, etc. during Orientation. Monthly training modules are also assigned for each staff. In-Service training are conducted regularly to ensure staff competency. Casa also trains staff with Lavender Sky, our brand philosophy for Dementia Care.
Residents are checked frequently in Assisted Living. Delayed egress are installed in the back doors to alert staff if resident happens to exit. Residetns who are at risk to wander are closely monitored. A binder is available at the Concierge with pictures of residents exhibiting such challenges to alert staff.
