Our Reflections program, specializing in early forms of dementia and memory loss. This thoughtful and unique environment focuses on novel and complex thinking using both hemispheres to stimulate the aging brain. Enabled with wander safety measures, this unique environment has been a popular and ideal choice for many residents and families to feel more open and active.

We offer lifestyle transportation to residents, including entertainment, shopping, scenic drives, and more. We also transport residents to doctors appointments on a scheduled basis.

Sunlit Gardens is located in a residential neighborhood and looks and feels comfortable and home-like. We are a one-story community tucked conveniently back from 19th street with mature trees and landscaped courtyards.

Meridian is proud to offer an exclusive partnership with the Montessori School called "Montessori Moments In Time." This validation-based approach to memory care allows us to provide a uniquely personal approach to residents with dementia, honoring and preserving many skills while also stimulating the mind. This program helps seniors live a more fulfilling, satisfying, and happier life.

Yes, Sunlit Gardens has several outdoor courtyard areas that are welcome and accommodating to pets. We ask that residents with memory loss enjoy regular pet visitation. We interview and assess small and medium size pets in assisted living and can provide some services should a resident need.

The Director of Wellness and wellness staff coordinate regular communication about each resident's health and cognitive functioning. We reassess each new resident after 30 days and then on an ongoing basis and after any health status change in concert with the resident and their family.

We engage in regular, ongoing training both for the general best practices for care in senior living as well as specific training for our Montessori Moments In Time program.

Sunlit Gardens offers a balance of scheduled dining programs and all-day restaurant options.

The Meridian Montessori Moments In Time memory care program dining experience is specifically designed to allow and encourage residents to be as independent as possible, as long as they are able. Our Menu is designed with this philosophy as a central tenant, and we support resident by using color contrasting dinnerware, cueing and individualized assistance, and regular snacking and hydration throughout the day.

Sunlit Gardens is centrally located just .5 miles from the 210 Freeway and Archibald Avenue. We are two blocks West of Stater Brothers and have regular transportation to local physicians and entertainment just down the road.

Sunlit Gardens is not affiliated with a specific hospital. We welcome therapy and hospice services and strive for open dialogue between our staff, care professionals, residents, and families.

Sunlit Gardens residents who require supervision due to memory loss or dementia benefit from a wander-guard type system in our Reflections program as well as a secured environment in our memory care.
