FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
While we are not directly affiliated. Our community does have working relationships with all of Ocala’s local hospitals.
Our community is near residential, educational and healthcare settings. Our area is more rural than business. Which offers us a large property with a lot of room.
Our clinical managers preform resident assessment upon move in, change of condition and every 3 months moving forward.
Our memory care community offers programming throughout the day. We offer programs such as B-fit, reminiscing, arts and crafts, music and entertainment, sensory and pet therapy.
From 7 am to 11 pm we have 2 resident care aids and a nurse. During our 11 pm to 7 am shifts we have a nurse and 2 resident care aids in the community.
We offer a refresh program prior to meals, which assist in increasing our residents’ sense. We also cook our meal in house and in the center our of community. This gives our residents an opportunity to see and smell the cooking process which also increases hunger. Our dietary team provides cooking courses as an activity for all of our residents.
The clinical team does a great job at calling and notifying families for any change of condition or new concerns. Our HWD meets with families to review their care plans and assessment upon any changes. Our Associate Executive Director and leadership team strive to follow up timely to all residents and family requests and concerns. Our Associate Executive Director provides a newsletter to families monthly to ensure that they are aware of what our activities, upcoming events and any changes within the community
Our associates have a monthly training, which covers a variety of topics that are all based around the senior living environment. Additionally, each associate attends an 8 hour Alzheimer’s training course, which is presented by our state approved instructor. IN addition to this, the associates have an annual refresher course. We meet with our teams monthly to review any changes in policy and procedure and ensure that there is constant communication with our teams.
