Regency House in Alexandria has a small number of assisted living apartments for seniors who occasionally need nursing care but also want to maintain their independence. Each apartment has a private entrance, a kitchenette with a stove and refrigerator and a fenced-in, private patio with plenty of greenery. While the community is located within walking distance of restaurants and retail stores, it offers free transportation to medical appointments and shopping venues outside of the neighborhood. Residents have access to a full calendar of social events such as trivia night and music therapy, in addition to a hair salon, resident library and weekly devotional classes. A Certified Nursing Aide is available 24 hours a day to help seniors with daily living activities as needed. Other services include twice-weekly laundry and housekeeping service, access to a registered dietician and in-room dining service.
