FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We encourage weekly phone calls/video chats to speak with your loved on. We also are active on social media, sharing pictures of activities residents are participating in. On a quarterly basis, we send out a newsletter. If there are any changes in your loved ones condition, the POA is notified immediately.
Our residents range in age here! Late 50's to mid 90's. Since we have a broad range of ages we like to make sure our daily activities bring smiles! You will see different arts and crafts, musicians, special guests, and animals come and visit. Rarely a dull moment. If we do have down time, we enjoy a good generational movie or quiet time on the patio.
We do not provide transportation. But don't fret, we can find the right resources to assist anyone from getting here to there!
Can you say variety? We stay away from processed foods. SO a variety of comfort foods with fish, chicken, and beef are served throughout the week. We love incorporating vegetables, and fresh fruits as well. Don't worry, we also realize the importance of caving into a sweet temptation and offer homemade sweets too!
Yes, we have various agencies, from palliative, hospice, health care, podiatry that come into our home to care for our residents.
We have a biweekly training schedule for our staff that includes dementia training, first aid, diabetes and other topics that are relevant to their function as a caregiver.
Our staff to resident ratio during the day is 1:4 and 1:10 during nighttime hours.
We have a great local coffee house next door! Iron Grind has some amazing brews, teas, pastries, and ice cream! There is also two pubs within walking distance that are favorites! O's bar and grill and the Auburn Hotel have some amazing local flavor and great atmosphere.
We live all around balanced lives here at Auburn Heights. We start by ensuring we are serving nutritious yet enjoyable meals along with snacks throughout the day. We have our weekly well being checks with our local health provider. Dog therapy has been a huge hit as well! We also promote exercise here! Finding fun ways to move about like bowling, treasure hunts outside, or getting out for the local festivals, and corn hole are a few samples of how we like to move and grove!
