We are located in the woods off of Hunter Ave. conveniently located near shopping and dinning. We have one and two bedroom apartments with full kitchens, temperature control, meals, daily maid service, and weekly housekeeping. A full social calendar and scheduled transportation is available.
Tucked quietly away near the convenience of Westland's prime shopping and entertainment area, American House Westland-Hunter is ideally situated near family, friends, shopping, and familiar medical professionals in Westland, Wayne, Garden City, Livonia, Canton, and Plymouth. We are also in close proximity to many hospitals including St. Mary Mercy Livonia, Garden City Hospital, and Botsford Hospital. Westland-Hunter Senior Living provides Independent Living with assistance available.*
Apartment options at Westland-Hunter Senior Living include 1 and 2 bedrooms - all with full kitchens and private baths. Property amenities include a dining room, library, beauty salon, a cozy fireplace piano lounge, beautifully landscaped grounds, and much more.
We have an Activity Director who plans a wide range of cultural, social and recreational activities and trips. Resident Services also include 24-hour on-site management, scheduled transportation, restaurant-style dining available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The average age of the residents at our community is 70. Happy Hour once a week is an activity that our residents look forward to the most.
We have a home healthcare company housed on our campus and is staffed 24/7; they can provide residents a Personal Response Pendant. The Personal Response Pendant can alert the care team once it pressed, so that they can come to assist the resident in case of an emergency.
We work with The Medical Team to provide home health services.
All of the meals are prepared homemade at the community by our trained chefs. Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes and Corn is a fan favorite at our community.
We offer: Chair Zumba, BINGO and Spiritual Services.

We offer transportation to appointments within a 10 mile radius of the community. Some of our residents also call the SMART Bus for transportation.
Some of our common areas include the Cafe, its a great place to meet with your neighbors for a cup of coffee. The Solarium is a place in our community where families sometimes gather for a birthday celebration. The community also offers a courtyard area where Summer holidays are celebrated. In the front of the community we have a patio area with a Butterfly Habitat.
We are a pet friendly community, we have plenty of outdoor space on our campus for animals to enjoy the outdoors.
