The Homestead is locally owned and operated by the Cain family, who bring over 50 years of experience in the senior living industry.
The Homestead offers the best of both worlds. Less than a mile from area shopping and dining, you wont have to venture far, but were tucked away in a quiet corner, away from the road. We offer a variety of amenities to accommodate your needs. Our community features a salon, wellness center, community center, puppy park, cinema, spa, and more! Dining options include three meals a day in our restaurant-style dining rooms. The Veranda is a seated dining room. The Bistro offers grab-n-go options in a fast-casual environment. The View is a private dining space available for events such as: family dinners, birthday parties, and special occasions.
Our community is specially designed to promote personalized care for our residents. With 36 rooms, our staff and residents are able to get to know one another in a community setting. Our rooms all feature a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and microwave, smart TV, and large walk-in closets.

FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We value family participation at The Homestead. Our families are encouraged to sign up for The Homestead Happenings, a monthly newsletter with information about upcoming events and activities. More urgent updates will be sent via email, text, and/or by phone - depending on the family member's preference.
Activities and programs vary based on resident preferences. Some favorites include: culinary lessons, bingo, art classes, yoga, gardening, and movie nights. The Community Center is available to residents for independent activities, games, and puzzles as well!
Our community offers care to seniors 55 and older. Our residents enjoy card games, puzzles, morning exercise classes, and socializing. We schedule activities based on resident preference. See the office staff to suggest an activity!
The Homestead is less than a mile from The Promenade Shopping Center. A brief 5 minute drive brings you to some of the area's best shopping and dining!
We are dog friendly! Our community pups are welcomed at The Puppy Park, a large off-leash space for them to run and play.
Our staff is trained in a variety of topics related to senior care. Inservices are help upon hire and quarterly thereafter. These topics include: Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation of Vulnerable Adults; Residents Rights, Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia; and a variety of other topics.
Our staff is available 24 hours a day to serve our residents. Nurses are available 16 hours each day. At night, our trained Resident Aides are available for resident care.
Our residents can expect traditional cuisine with a southern flare. With multiple dining venues, there's always options! The Veranda, our main dining room, offers seated dining for all meals. The Bistro, a fast-casual option, offers grab-and-go meals, coffee, and tea. The View is a private-dining room available for parties and family events. See the office for reservations!
Our community shuttle is available Monday-Friday for errands and appointments. Arrangements can be made with the front desk!
We have a wireless call pendant system for residents. The discreet pendant looks like a smart watch and will alert our staff of the resident's location when pressed. Call buttons are also located in resident restrooms for added safety.
