FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We have a secured memory care neighborhood for residents that wander and cannot safely live in our assisted living area of our community. Our memory care neighborhood also has a secured courtyard complete with a fountain, table and chairs, and seating for seasonal use and a circle walkway for those that want to walk outside.
We offer monthly dementia training to all staff. We also have a staff certified as Dementia Practitioner.
There is always a nurse staffed in the memory care neighborhood and 4 resident companions. Staffing is according to acuity of care.
We provide transportation to physician appointments and have weekly outings for shopping.
Memory Care residents have dining room attendants as well as their nursing staff in the dining room.
The Director of Nursing assesses the residents upon admission and then quarterly or if there is a change in condition.
Every resident will have a safety pendant to press in emergency or if they have a direct care need. The pendants serve as a mobile "call button" for residents; meaning they can press the button anywhere in the building and a message will be sent via phone to their nurse or resident care companion. We also provide emergency call buttons in each room of the resident's apartment.
We are located in a residential neighborhood in the Huber Heights area even though we have a Tipp City address. Our neighborhood is close to Wright Patt Airforce Base so we have many military families in our neighborhood.
The memory care neighborhood has a care coordinator that arranged stimulating activities. The memory care neighborhood residents enjoy the same entertainment activities as the IL and Al residents. They have their own calendar of events daily designed for their needs and interests.

We staff our community according to acuity of care needed. Our nurses work 8 hours shifts. We have nursing 24/7 and staff our community with Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses.
Our dining room is open from 7am-7pm daily. We offer an entree at lunch and dinner with an always available ala carte menu. All of our meals are made from scratch with the exception of bread. We serve breakfast all day and also offer a homemade soup of the day. We have an executive chef that directs our culinary team.
Recently, concerts at The Rose Amphitheater have been enjoyed by IL residents. IL residents also enjoy Dayton Dragons games in the summer and Dayton Flyers games in the winter months.

We have outdoor areas designated for pets that reside at Danbury. There are paved sidewalks around our community for walking. We offer pet service for those that cannot walk/toilet their dog for a fee.
