We accept residents 55 and older. Favorite things to do at Danbury are outings, dining in our restaurant style dining room, craft and activities provided by our activity department.
We have a monthly calendar of events and also offer a wellness program "A Better You"
We are less than a mile from the YMCA, shopping, restaurants, and an urgent care.
We provide transportation to physician appointments and have weekly outings for shopping.
Our dining room is open from 7am-7pm daily. We offer an entree at lunch and dinner with an always available ala carte menu. All of our meals are made from scratch with the exception of bread. We serve breakfast all day and also offer a homemade soup of the day. We have an executive chef that directs our culinary team.
Every resident will have a safety pendant to press in emergency or if they have a direct care need. The pendants serve as a mobile "call button" for residents; meaning they can press the button anywhere in the building and a message will be sent via phone to their nurse or resident care companion. We also provide emergency call buttons in each room of the resident's apartment.
We have an open door policy with all families wishing to know more about the care their loved one receives. We offer quarterly care conferences to families if they wish to participate.
We staff our community according to acuity of care needed. Our nurses work 8 hours shifts. We have nursing 24/7 and staff our community with Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses.
We have outdoor areas designated for pets that reside at Danbury. There are paved sidewalks around our community for walking. We offer pet service for those that cannot walk/toilet their dog for a fee.
We have monthly training for all our staff. We require specialized dementia/alzheimer's training to all our staff.
We have a secured memory care neighborhood for residents that wander and cannot safely live in our assisted living area of our community. Our memory care neighborhood also has a secured courtyard complete with a fountain, table and chairs, and seating for seasonal use and a circle walkway for those that want to walk outside.
