FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We are located near scenic Pilot Butte in NE Bend, as well as several religious centers servicing many different faiths. Beyond that, we are very close to an array of shopping and dining, and very close to St. Charles Health Center, which makes routine and emergency medical needs very easy to manage.
Our care staff to resident ratio is in line with state requirements, and our averaged size population allows us to dedicate plenty of time to all our residents' needs.
We stay in regular communication with our residents' families for anything from regular reports up to emergencies that may require hospitalization. We also stay in regular contact with all our residents' doctors and can communicate any medical changes to family as requested.
Senior care staff receives regular training both in and out of the Prestige network inline with all state requirements.
Our residents' pets are allowed everywhere in our building except the dining areas, and we have an expansive outdoor recreation area which includes a walking path that encompasses the building, while remaining at one level with no steps for ease of use.
Our building is well located to emergency services in town and regularly see response times within a few minutes. Beyond that, we have many easily accessible emergency exits that remain locked from the outside to prevent any unwanted intruders. We have an intensive COVID screening process to avoid any viral spread, and all our employees are required to be fully vaccinated and masked while on duty.
The average age of our residents is 75, and among their favorite things to do is participating in our unmatched wellness programs, which include both group as well as private sessions.
For wandering residents, we have the ability to alarm the door to their room which alerts our care staff to any unknown movements and allows them to respond immediately. Beyond that we have regular checks made on residents who are known to wander, and all exterior doors are also alarmed to alert care staff should someone try to leave through a door that is not our well watched front entrance/exit.
Our culinary team has a long history in dining service both in and out of senior living, and they all work to meet any expectation of our residents. Our entrees selection changes every week and each month our residents have the chance to give feedback directly to the culinary team to make sure that all needs and wants are being met. Our residents are served restaurant style, so in addition to our set entrées they can enjoy a highly customizable breakfast selection as well as an a la carte menu filled with favorite staple meals.
We offer full service transportation for all of our residents via both our private buses as well as hired car services for nearly any need of our residents. At a minimum we handle all doctors' visits, shopping and scenic drives as a group.
We have an accredited program called Celebrations that aims to improve the wellbeing of our residents through activities that strengthen both the mind and the body. This program is customizable to each individual resident to offer activities that are both stimulating and enjoyable.
