The Stafford Retirement Community is an active senior living community that offers assisted living and independent living for up to 16 residents. It's located in Lake Oswego in a quiet residential community within a mile of four public parks, a golf course and a community garden. Spacious floor plans range one beds to two beds, and they offer easy access to the community's amenities. Residents can stay engaged with in-house life-enriching activities such as painting, creative writing, group exercise and religious services. The community provides restaurant-style dining three times a day, and after dinner, residents can catch a movie screening right down the hall at the in-house movie theater.
What Residents are Saying:
Relatives note that their loved ones feel comfortable here. One resident's daughter says, "My mother is in Stafford. She had been in the independent part since the facility opened seven years ago. So, she knows the staff, and a lot of friends are still there." She continues, "The staffing ratio is very good, and they're very kind to her."

Our Methodology

It’s not what we research, but the way we research that makes AssistedLiving.org stand out. We start by identifying problems and challenges in the senior care industry by gaining insight from conversations with industry professionals, older adults, and those that care for them. Next, our research team led by industry experts apply our data-driven research techniques to understand the magnitude of the challenge and how to overcome it. Finally, we present our findings in easy-to-understand guides and studies and share our actionable results with influencers and caregivers, as well as the general public.
