The minimum age requirement at our Community is 55. We have residents in our 60's and also a few that have hit the 100 year Milestone! Our residents love their spacious beautifully appointed apartments and our peaceful nature setting. While they have their own Home here at Heartis, our residents also love our beautiful Community spaces and daily Vibrant life programming - from our walking club to afternoon Culinary Creations, Gathering to cheer on our favorite Sports Teams to Friday Happy Hours and Bridge Club. Our Vibrant Life Program is an innovative approach designed for enhancing and enriching residents' lives across seven core competencies for well-rounded and meaningful experiences. Daily our residents can participate in a variety of activities and programs offered in Assisted Living and in our Generations Memory Care. A sampling of our many activities range from Morning Stretch and Silver Sneakers Walking Club to Brain Games, Helping Hands, Culinary Creations, Creative Club, Game Shows, Happy Hour, Sing Along and Movie Night. We
At our doorstep are the quaint communities of Whitefish Bay and Shorewood that have several shopping conveniences, coffee shops and a variety of restaurants for our residents to enjoy. Additionally, a few of the primary Milwaukee hospitals are within a 10 minute drive, including Ascension which is adjacent to us. We are also in close proximity to a few University and Continuing Education Programs as well as Senior and Fitness Centers. Our Community is situated in a beautiful natural setting with walking paths and an interior Courtyard with lush landscaping and patios for our residents to enjoy.
Our Community has two shuttles available to our residents for scheduled appointments and outings within a 10 mile radius. We also utilize our Shuttles for our routine and special resident outings.
Our Elevate Dining Program creates meaningful connections for our residents through fresh cuisine, comfortable and elegantly appointed dining spaces and warm professional service. With 7am to 7pm all day dining and a fresh menu daily with meals that are cooked to order, our residents look forward to dining in our Community every day and engaging with residents, visiting family and friends with creative and flavorful cuisine.
Our Concierge greets all visitors with a screening at check-in process from 8am to 8pm every day. Outside of those hours, our Community is locked. We have video surveillance cameras for safety throughout the Community and at the outside of our Building. For our residents' safety, they have access to Care and Caregivers 24/7 with 24 hour Nurse Support always available. Additionally, our apartments have many safety and ADA compliant safety features such as Wheel Chair/Walker friendly Sinks/Thermostat position on the Wall. Additional safety measures in the bathroom are safety bars near the toilet with an emergency call pendant and a zero entry large walk in shower with an adjustable shower head and shower bench. Our goal is to provide our residents with the appointments that allow them to have independence yet the right level of care in place.
We have several avenues for keeping our residents' loved ones informed about the happenings in our community as well as important notices and information that needs to be communicated to residents' families and contacts. We have a database of all designated contacts with emails/phone number and addresses. Additionally, we have a Facebook Page, Twitter and a Community App that showcase the wonderful activities and programs our residents enjoy.
We continually assess the care level needs of our residents to ensure we have the proper Care Team in place. Currently, our caregiver to staff ratio is 1 Caregiver to 8 residents and in Memory Care, 1 Caregiver to 7 residents. Additionally we have our Assisted Living Resident Care Director and Generations Memory Care Director overseeing the care of all of our residents.
We are a pet friendly community at Heartis Village North Shore! Our residents are able to have a pet living with them as long as they can do most of the pet care-taking. We have a large landscaped spacious enclosed Courtyard all of our residents can enjoy and use with their pets. Additionally, we have green space and a wooded walking path around our property for those guests that are able to go outside or be escorted outside.
Our Management Company, Integral Senior Living is a national company that specializes in the management of Senior Living Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities. ISL provides excellent specialized employee orientation programs as well as ongoing department specific training to ensure all of our associates are serving our residents day in and day out with the resources and skills they need to provide unrivaled care and service. Additionally, ISL has a comprehensive on-line training program that all residents must complete with new modules added on an ongoing basis.
The doors in our Memory Care Care community are secured 24/7 and we have several video surveillance cameras throughout our Community. Additionally, our bathrooms in Memory Care have motion sensors that can detect fall motions and this alerts our Caregivers phones. All of our Hallways nationwide have lean rails to help with mobility. Our Concierge greets and screens all visitors and our Caregivers in Assisted Living escort those with mild dementia as needed to ensure they are safe. Our Communities doors are locked between the hours of 8pm to 8am.
