FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We offer care conferences with our Health and Wellness Director to discuss any changes noted in the resident and discuss any concerns the family may have. We also have a direct email distribution list for families to keep them abreast of various changes, activities, etc. within the community.
The average age of our residents is in their 80’s. Our residents enjoy My Life Story, presentations, B-Fit classes, arts and crafts, adaptive yoga, and weekly Happy Hours complete with live entertainment and more.
Howard Heuston Park is within walking distance or a short Brookdale Bus ride away for those who choose to ride. We also have several shops that are part of our outings for our residents.
Our Brookdale bus is available for doctor appointments, etc. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays. We also offer third party transportation through VIA. On Thursdays our activities director provides leisurely outings to various shops, etc.
Every staff member is required to complete our monthly LMS training. We also have presentations for team members regarding dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc. Our community is also in constant contact with Boulder County regarding COVID-19 and any new updates we need to be aware of.
We are able to provide care to those suffering from dementia but not those that wander, we are not a secured community so residents are able to come and go as they choose
The programs/activities offered are: B-Fit, adaptive yoga, meditation, Happy Hours, spa days, manicure & music day, Flex your brain, Praise and Worship, Bingo, arts and crafts, presentations, movies, scrabble, card games, and our gardening club.
We love our fur babies here at Boulder Creek. Many of our residents have dogs and cats here. We have a lovely courtyard as well as a big fenced backyard that our dogs can enjoy. We also offer a sundeck for our residents and their four-legged friends.
We staff based on resident care needs.
We offer our call response system. All residents have a pendent as well as pull cords in their rooms.
Glen has over 13 years culinary experience in various restaurants and assisted living communities. He goes above and beyond in learning the residents and their particular preferences and any special dietary needs. Once a month we offer a menu chat so that our residents have the opportunity to voice their likes, dislikes and offer suggestions.
