On a yearly basis, they receive 4-8 hours of training on dementia and Alzheimer's.
We do accept dogs and cats under 35 lbs up to two animals. only space for animals is outside by our pond pavilion.

Our staff and management team are exceptional communicators with family members, residents, medical staff and third party vendors on a daily basis.

Menu offers multiple options at every meal ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) including desserts and alternatives. We also offer specialty diet preference meal plans. Meal trays to rooms available. Assigned seating.
The 8 bed memory home sits on a residential property next to the main assisted living facility. it is within walking distance from highland park, community center, baseball field and recreational complex.
One direct care staff member per 8 residents. They rotate every 8-hour shift.
We have 4 caregivers from 7am-3pm not including the med tech, housekeepers, kitchen staff, activity personnel and management.
We have 4 direct care staff members from 3-11 and two caregivers from 11pm-7am.
Our management team which includes LPN's and RN. In addition we have physicians who visit weekly as well as home health companies who are skilled to asssess health, behavior and cognitive funstioning of our residents. Assessed on a monthly basis or as needed.
Monthly, we have home health companies and their team discuss various topics with our staff such as transferring and gait stability, proper hygiene care, safety measures to prevent falls, etc. Our staff also receive yearly training on topics such as HIV/AIDS, DNR, Infection Control, PPE, resident behaviors, elopement, fire drills, personal care, etc.
Work with local hospitals, Morton Plant and Largo Medical.
Assistance with transportation arrangements. Currently, we offer transportation to Walmart and out to lunch bunch. Spring 2020, we will offer transportation to medical appts several days per week.
Residents average age is in their 80's. Mostly female but we have a good population of males also. Family owned and operated community. Licensed for 75 residents, 8 of which are located in a separate 8 bed memory care home. Our residents love that we offer live music and entertainment 5 days per week in addition to bingo, arts and crafts, exercise, brain teasers, self-care, religious services and happy hour.
Live music and entertainment 7 days per week. A dedicated activity assistant daily to provide one on one programming including exercise, walks, cognitive and sequence activities.

1 care staff member to 8 residents provides the availability to offer one-on-one time and dedication to those residents who need additional assistance with prompting, cueing, and physical assistance with eating,
Lake House has a separate 8 bed community which is fully secured for those who have history or propensities to wander. The main facility has semi- secured entrance and exit doors.
