FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Many of our active residents are independent needing little care. Most residents are in their mid-80’s who enjoy bingo, happy hour and community outings.
We have several activities that enrich their purpose, emotion, physical, social, spiritual, and intellectual well-being. From B-Fit exercise, church services, and Flex your Brain, our residents have a variety of options at Brookdale Lake Tavares.
Located less than 5 minutes from Downtown Tavares, there are parks, local restaurants and shopping. Some of our residents also attend the local YMCA for swimming and senior classes.
We offer a bus that transports residents from Mount Dora to Leesburg. Our resident utilize our transportation services for shopping, errands and medical appointments.
Our Dining Services Director, Betty has been with our community for over 25 years! Our southern spin on our food makes our residents feel right at home.
Our front doors are open during business hours, and our community is locked after hours. Each resident is given keys to access the community at any time.
There is a monthly newsletter sent to residents and families. We also host care plan meetings where families are encouraged to attend.
We staff to the acuity of our residents as well as a nurse on core hours of the day 7-11 pm in addition to med. techs and CNA's.
We have a walking path that circles around the community and Lake Tavares. We also have pet waste stations for residents to utilize.
Our staff are required to complete hours of training every year. From classes to one on one training, our staff receive training on areas such as CPR, Memory Care and Disaster Preparedness.
As we do check ins on all the residents throughout the course of the day and evening. As a resident ages in place if they exceed our license of a IL / AL we help to find them a secure location for progressed dementia.
