Located conveniently in the Illinois Medical District, Barton Senior Residences of Chicago is a supportive living community for seniors 65 and older and for those that are typically low income – the company accepts Medicaid. Barton is designed for seniors looking for a balance of independence within a supportive environment yet do not require the structure of a skilled nursing home. All apartments come fully furnished and include a private bathroom, kitchenette, and emergency call system. The following services/amenities are included in the rent at no additional cost: all utilities and basic cable, 3 hot home-cooked and waiter served meals a day, assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. At Barton, tenants have access to comprehensive healthcare, including onsite physician visits, dental services, and a social worker. To help tenants maintain optimal physical independence, there is an onsite Physical Therapy Department to meet all of the residents' rehab needs.
