The community welcomes adults aged 55+ with rooms that include washer-dryers, kitchenettes, accessible bathrooms, cable and a 24-hour emergency call system. Residents also get weekly housekeeping, laundry and linen services. Chef-prepared meals are served three times daily in the dining room and there's a bistro for those who prefer less formal eating. Residents can unwind and chat by the fireplace in the cozy shared living room or exercise in the fully equipped fitness room. There's also a salon that provides manicures and pedicures as well as hair styling. Two enclosed courtyards with raised flower beds provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents to stroll or simply sit and relax.

FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
The average age at MorningStar are in their mid 80's. They enjoy exercising, listening to live music, any social activity, using the courtyard to visit with friends and plant flowers, and of course playing bingo.
They enjoy exercising, listening to live music, any social activity, using the courtyard, and playing bingo. Families are very involved and the residents love the events where we can bring the families in to celebrate an event with us all at MorningStar.
The residents enjoy walking around the community to get fresh air and exercise. There are many stores close by that the bus takes them to, example: grocery stores weekly and other stores that are asked for.
MorningStar has free transportation during the week to doctor's appointments, to and from. Also grocery store trips and social outtings are planned by the Life Enrichment Coordinator each month.
The meals are amazing here and the residents really enjoy them. The beautiful dining room is very welcoming and is a great place for residents to enjoy time together at.
There is a call system in each apartment that the resident has access to at any time of the day and also we provide call pendants to wear around their necks if that helps them feel more safe also.
The team at MorningStar emails out to families individualy with pictures and information when something is going on. There is a blog on our website that will keep families updated on what is going on in the community and also a mass email program that we use for communication with families when needed.
The staff to resident ratio is all deteremined on the type of residents we have at that moement and their care needs. People can live with us and be completely independent to needing the hands on care that an Assisted Living can safely provide.
Yes we do accept one dog or one cat per apartment. There is nice walking area around the building and wonderful courtyards that are private and enclosed to stay safe and still feel independent and enjoy each other's company.
Staff go through training for Dementia and Dependent Adult Abuse. We have monthly meetings for all staff and on top of that nursing staff often meet more often, to touch base on things going on around the community with residents.
Wandering in AL could be a sign that they are needing our area called Reflections, which is our Memory Care. Reflections has its own private courtyard also.If they are wandering just to find things to do, staff will help redirect and find other residents to visit with and activities to engage in.
