Fairhaven Denton serves seniors 55 and up. Our average resident age is 80 years young. Many of our residents enjoy gardening, exercising, arts and crafts, religious activities and much more. Many of our seniors enjoy a good game of Bingo and group exercise to start the day.
At Fairhaven, fun is on the agenda every single day. We want you to enjoy yourself and develop strong bonds of friendship, we plan lots of recreational activities and events to keep everyone active and engaged. In addition to wellness programs that keep you fit and healthy, you can also choose from a long list of recreational activities.
Fairhaven of Denton residents can enjoy nearby shopping, restaurants, bookstores, parks and entertainment.
Fairhaven offers transportation within a 15 mile radius. Our residents can enjoy weekly outings or transported to their appointments.
Fairhaven offers three fresh, home cooked meals a day. Our Chef utilizes fresh fruits and vegetables to prepare nutritious well-balanced meals.
Fairhaven provides each resident with a wireless monitor in each private apartment suite, as well as a personal pendant that is linked to our emergency response system. Our hallways, restrooms and showers are all outfitted with safety rails. Our apartment suite and bathroom doorways are wide enough to accommodate wheel chairs and walkers comfortably. Additional safety measures can be put in place to ensure safety and wellbeing of each resident.
Communication with residents and families is important. Our Wellness Director and staff communicate to family on changes with physical and mental condition as well as medication changes. Management holds family nights to communicate upcoming news and events. Life Enrichment Directors hold monthly resident council where information is shared directly with residents, along with monthly newsletters and calendars.
Care staff ratio is 1:11, with 44 residents, staff members are close at hand and readily available 24/7.
Fairhaven Denton is pet friendly, we will have a large campus where our furry friends can enjoy the outdoors.
Our staff receive extensive training upon hire, monthly and annually. We provide training courses over topics required by Health and Human Services as well as on-going general caregiving training.
Fairhaven Denton does not offer a secure community for residents who might wander. However, we understand the progression of dementia and are able to provide re-direction and reminders to those residents that are still able to safely function in Assisted Living.
