FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
At our monthly team rallies, we have a specific training topic that is addressed (ie. dementia, fall risks, etc...) / also opportunities for team members to participate in training through NCCDP (Natl Cncl of Certified Dementia Practitioners), as well as company-specific training by department
All visitors and staff must complete a health form and get temperature checked daily prior to entering the building. Healthcare workers and family must also sign in/out of Accushield system that tracks who is in our community and generates a name tag. For those who are fall risks we can setup our "Quiet Care" system - motion sensor that tracks resident behaviors and alerts our care associates when movement is out of the ordinary.
Share app is available to all resident's families - this shares information about daily activities, meals and has photos uploaded. Our Executive Director also communicates directly with families special announcements by email.
In Assisted Living we have 1 care associate for every 15 residents + medication technician
In Memory Care we have 1 care associate for every 8 residents + medication technician
Yes we are pet friendly - $500 deposit - we are surrounded by grassy areas where dogs can be walked, as well as courtyard area within the community.
We have a team of care associates working in our Connections area who personalize activities according to our residents likes and are engaged with crafts, exercise, bingo, games, music, etc...

Our current average age is 80 and some of the things they enjoy are - Bingo, Sit n Fit, Balloon Hockey, Movies, Themed Socials, Sing A Longs and outside Entertainment
Our Health & Wellness Director assesses residents, this is set up individually according to what the family and our team determine based on the residents current health status, etc...

Our shuttle transports residents on Tuesdays and Thursdays within a 10 mile radius for doctor and physical therapy appointments

The Quiet Care system as mentioned above can be set up to detect a resident who leaves their room after hours.
