We have all sorts of safety/security measures here at SilverRidge. We have a wonderful fire system with automatic closing doors and sprinklers in all of the apartments and common areas. One of our greatest features is our help button that each of our residents receive when they move in. It is a GPS within our community. Whether they are in a friend's apartment or in the coffee shop, when they push their button, we know who it is and where they are. We lock our doors every evening between 8 and 9pm. Guests can ring the bell after hours to have a nurse let them in. We do not open the doors again until 6am.
We have a newsletter, we send out information through the mail, we utilize email, we have Facebook, we have Twitter and sometimes all it takes is a simple phone call. Our management staff has an open door policy so if families ever need anything and want to come in, we are here for them.
Our staff-to-resident ratio is 1 to 15, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are times that there may be more staff-to-resident ratio depending on how much help our residents may need. During the day, Monday thru Friday, we do have 2 extra CNA's present that are bath aides.
We do not accept pets. We welcome them to come visit though.
Our staff to resident ratio is 1 to 4 during the day and 1 to 5 in the evening and overnights.
Our memory support has locked doors that require a code to get in and out of the buildings. For fire safety reasons, you can still push on the doors to get out but an alarm will sound. That alarm will alert staff that someone is going or trying to go out the door.
We have a secure courtyard in each building so residents can still enjoy some time outside.
Our memory support life enrichment director does an amazing job of keeping residents engaged. She schedules 4 activities during the day and 1 more in the evening that the nursing staff engages with the residents. There are activities 6 days a week and a church service on Sunday's.
There are all sort of activities everyday. Everything from exercising to trivia to bingo to painting.
