Dominican Village

Dominican Village, which is registered as a nonprofit organization, is an assisted living and independent living community that was established by the Sisters of St. Dominic. It's located in the small town of Amityville in Long Island, New York, near South Oyster Bay, Jones Beach Island, Gilgo State Park and Edgewood Oak Brush Plains Preserve. Welcoming seniors of all religious backgrounds, Dominican Village offers weekly worship sessions and scheduled religious celebrations. Family members often join their loved ones for on-campus support group meetings. The community's recreational and social networking activities include exercise classes, computer classes, creative writing exercises, birthday celebrations and movie nights. Residents can also participate in volunteer opportunities and local library events.
