HarborChase has a wide range of ages with the average being 82. We are fortunate to have a larger male resident population than many other Assisted Living communities. Our residents are very social and love spending time with each other. We have a unique family feel because at HarborChase, you really are apart of our family. From coffee or milkshake socials, to Happy Hours, to Bingo and Family Feud Live, there are over 21 activities to choose from daily. We do more activities in a morning than some communities might do all day. Our residents also enjoy outings to local shopping retailers and you can even find us participating in local parades! The Village on Whitesburg Shopping Center is straight out from our front door. It offers stores like Fresh Market, boutiques and restaurants.

We offer scheduled transportation for our residents.

Dining at HarborChase of Huntsville is unlike most senior living communities. We serve chef prepared meals in a fine dining style setting. Our menu changes daily and seasonally offering a variety of choices. Stop in for a tour and join us for lunch! You'll taste the difference at HarborChase.

All Assisted Living residents are given a pendant to wear that can be pressed at anytime to alert our care staff of their needs. Our apartments all have an emergency pull cord by the bed and the bathroom. We also perform checks in 2 hour increments on all residents.

HarborChase of Huntsville wants our residents' families to be involved in their loved ones care. We meet with families prior to the resident's move-in date to discuss everything that will make the transition as seamless as possible. Once the resident has moved into their new apartment, our Life Enrichment Team will talk with them about our activities schedule and find out more about the resident as a person and their life experiences. When emergencies arise, calls are made to the family and we will continue communication until the situation is resolved.

HarborChase of Huntsville follows the state of Alabama's regulation of no more than 8 residents per 1 caregiver. We also have nurses on staff and in the community 24/7.

Here at HarborChase of Huntsville, we LOVE pets! While our feline residents stay with their owner in the apartment, our resident canines can be found in many of our common areas both inside and outside in our Memory Garden or on our front porch rocking chairs in the warmer months.

Every HarborChase of Huntsville staff member must complete numerous hours of training each year. We also have monthly staff meetings to focus on different topics of senior care. We adhere to all of the state of Alabama regulations to ensure our residents receive not only the care they need, but the respect they so deserve.

At HarborChase of Huntsville, the health and safety of our residents is top priority. When someone in our Assisted Living becomes a wandering risk, we immediately begin evaluating their current situation. We communicate with the family about our plans to keep that resident safe. This can include the discussion to move a resident into our secure and onsite Memory Care unit. Please ask us about our new high-functioning Memory Care called The Sound.
