FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care

All apartments are equipped with an 24 hour emergency pull cord in the bathroom and push button in the bedroom. Certified caregivers are on staff 24 hours a day to provide care and help in case on an emergency. All residents on Assisted Living / Memory Care are checked on every 2-4 hours during the day and every 2 hours at night by a certified caregiver. In addition to the caregivers there is also security personnel overnight who checks on the parking lot and all exit doors throughout the night.
We have a secured memory care
We are pet friendly with two large doggy courtyards.
Cascades of Tucson offers a specialized Memory Care Dining program that caters to residents with cognative decline. The program features adaptive eating utensils and personalized dining assistance to ensure dignity of the resident.
The Memory Care Director and/or Health and Wellness Director (who is a LPN). The state regulates that the assessment is updated on a quarterly basis.
Mandatory monthly staff trainings on topics that the state requires us to cover. We are a deficiency free community.

Cascades of Tucson has a great accommodations for having a dog. On the first floor, apartments come with patios that open up onto an enclosed dog yard.

Our average age is 80 years young. Residents enjoy social hour, men's club, movies, arts and crafts, exercise classes and more.

Chef Michael has been with Cascades for 12 years and is a culinary trained chef. He meets with our residents on a regular basis to talk about our menu and what our residents would like to see on the menu and how they like it prepared.
We following Teepa Snow's Living Gems Program which is a positive approach to caring for those with dementia by providing individualized and person-centered care to each resident. This model recognizes that each person is unique and focuses on the strengths and abilities of the resident, rather than their deficits. The Living GEMS Model also emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes engagement, meaningful activities, and positive social interactions.
Located on Tucson's popular east side, Cascades is a hidden sic-acre gem of beautifully landscaped common areas situated in a lively yet serene neighborhood rich with shopping and dining and convenient to healthcare resources.
Daytime: 8 staffers: 4 caregivers, 2 med techs, 1 LPN, and our Memory Care Director (who is caregiver certified)
Overnight: 3 caregivers 1 med tech, on call LPN & Memory Care Director
A theater, fitness center, library, arts and crafts room, card room, restaurant with live entertainment every Friday.
Majority of our residents are on assisted living services. Our average age is 85 - 90 years old. Our residents enjoy live entertainment, playing cards, happy hour, and each others company.
Our always available menu has items like sirloin steak, salmon, shrimp pasta, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and salads. We have three featured items that change on a daily basis, along with soup, salad and desert. Residents can enjoy any two meals a day and have the freedom to eat when it's convenient for them, rather than set dining times.
