What You Should Know About Handmaker Home For the Aging
Handmaker Home for the Aging has been providing compassionate care to seniors in Tucson since 1963. Guided by Jewish values of seeking to repair the world, doing just and charitable deeds and treating others with loving-kindness, this nonsectarian community provides stable and secure care for residents of all faiths. Its assisted living facilities provide daily wellness check-ins, a 24-hour safety call system and an LPN on duty. Those living in the community receive three meals daily, weekly housekeeping and transportation to scheduled medical appointments. For those experiencing early stages of diminished memory capacity, the Handmaker Adventure Bus provides biweekly social and cultural day trips and other programs. Handmaker Home for the Aging also offers services for those coming out of the hospital as well as those requiring long-term or skilled nursing care.
