Downey Retirement Center

The Downey Retirement Center is situated in a quiet area near the PIH Health Hospital-Downey and the Stonewood Shopping Center. It has friendly and professional nursing staff who provide daily living assistance around the clock. The staff is equipped to handle unique situations and can provide care to help residents with dementia by offering stimulating memory exercises and activities. Recreation is geared to promote physical, mental and social wellness, and activities range from classes and organizations to fitness classes and therapeutic sessions. Residents receive up to three daily meals, which are managed by a dietician, and the center provides support to and from medical appointments. Large dining rooms and other common areas offer numerous chances for interaction, while a library and the courtyards and gardens provide quiet places of retreat. An in-house beauty salon lets residents pamper themselves.
