FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Prestige is located near a few different neighborhoods, shopping, medical offices, schools and churches.
Generally, there would never be a need for a Dementia resident to move out due to higher needs in Dementia care. We can handle all forms from the early stages to end of life with the ability to bring in Hospice if/when the time comes right into our building so the resident doesn't have to deal with the stresses that come with a major move
Residents are issued a safety pendant upon move in. This allows them to summons staff for assistance. When the residents pushes button on the pendent it will alert staff. Each apartment has 3 pull cords located in the entrance of apartment, living room/bedroom and bathroom. This feature allows guest or staff to summons staff for assistance.
Assessments in Expressions are conducted by our Expressions Director, Wendy. She does an initial assessment for needs before move-in and again 30 days later. Assessments are then done every 6 months or on a need basis.

Staff ratios are dependent upon the number of residents in our community, and their care needs. Generally, there will be 4-5 team members at one time caring for our 16 Expressions residents during the day (including our Expressions Director, Wendy), and 3 at night.
Here at Prestige we are a 65+ Community where the average age of residents is 89 years old. Activities range from gardening and exercise programs, to crafts, games, happy hour, and much more.
We have required monthly, quarterly, and yearly training for all Team Members.

With a Walk-in medical clinic and physical therapy buildings in the same parking lot, you or your family member can get medical needs taken care of without long trips across town. Multiple Churches are within walking distance of varying denominations. Shopping is all over, Walmart, WinCo, Target, the Sequoia Mall, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and so much more are within 10 blocks of each other and us.
Prestige will help get you where you need to go. From Doctor's visits on a Tuesday morning to shopping trips on a Friday evening.
Ariana our Dinning Service Director has personalizes everyone's dining experience. Ariana creates a weekly menu and delivers every Sunday. We have a main entre for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Residents can also choose from the side menu.
We love our furry family. Pets are welcome in all Prestige areas (and families are highly encouraged to bring well-behaved pets for visits).

Communication is critical to the care plan for our residents. Our nurse, Lydia, keeps families and residents well informed and communicates consistently with Doctors about resident needs, changes of condition, and medication management.
Memory Care meal time is designed to engage with our residents during meals. Make each meal special by talking about old recipes and reminiscing. This program allows care staff to sit down and join them for a meal and keep our residents engaged and stimulated through out the meal. During meals care staff is able to encourage fluid intake, cuing and guiding for fluid and meal completion. This also allows staff to identify anything out of the ordinary.
Prestige has industry-leading and award-winning programs in Dementia/Alzheimer's care and wellness programming. Our programs correlate to living a longer, healthier, happier life. While we still play plenty of bingo and other games, our programs are designed to enhance lives instead of just filling in a slot on a calendar.
Our Expressions programming won the 2013 Innovation Award from the American Healthcare Association. Expressions is specifically designed with each individual in mind and work to keep them active and engaged through the day, no matter the Dementia diagnosis and needs. Memory Care residents are never just left alone in their apartments all day.
