Daily exercise, spiritual enrichment (Mass, rosary and ecumenical worship) brain games, art, sing-alongs
Our residents range in age from 56 - 102 with the median age being 84. They love the card and board games, exercise, music and social hours.
We staff according to care needs with CNAs in the community 24/7, LPNs 7a-11p 7days/wk and RN M-F 9a-6p and on call 24/7
Our dining team works directly with the resident to ensure that their favorites are on the menu. Breakfast is always - "Made to Order". Lunch and dinner offer two entrees each meal along with an "Any Time Menu".
Residents are presented visual options for meal selection. (i.e. Entrees plated and presented rather than verbal inquiry)
Monthly in-services for all staff.
All staff receive 8 hours of dementia training and monthly reviews as part of elopement training.
RN and Care Coordinator are in regular contact with families by phone, email or when in community visiting their loved one.
Resident families identify their hospital of choice if additional care is needed.
Our Memory Care community is locked and alarmed. All visitors are met when entering and escorted when departing. The staff is trained monthly on elopement procedures.
Daytime Care Staff is based on care needs but averages 6-7 CNAs, 1-2 LPNs and 1 RN
Overnight Care staff again is based on care needs but averages 4-5 with RN on Call.
In addition to care staff, during the daytime there are 10+ activity, housekeeping and managers.
The Memory Care community is strategically built on the top two floors of the community allowing for separate courtyards and a quiet backdrop for the residents. The community itself is located up the hill from a main road in town.
Music is the most popular. The residents also embrace any of their religious programs (Rosary, Mass, Songfest etc) Creating photo albums with family photos for long term memory.
Van service is currently available Monday-Friday for appointments and scheduled activities.
All AL residents are issued Life Line pendants and the Memory Care floors are secured and alarmed.
The RN/SALSA conducts assessments every 120 days.
The residents love their "Country Drives" in the community van.
Pets are welcome. Residents must be able to care for their pet and there are ample walking paths and outdoor space for them to enjoy.
