We see opportunity. These divergent views from tradition have created a community filled with older adults living purposeful, engaged lives. Because it’s about seizing the day, every day. It’s about finding a passion that percolates you so much that you can’t wait to get out of bed each morning to get started. At Thrive, residents engage in events and activities (whether it’s having coffee in the library or dancing) they’ve always loved, along with new friends they’ve made who love them as much as they do. The Average age of our residents is 79.

We understand that older adults and their loved ones depend on us not only to live, but to live well. It’s a challenge we welcome everyday. Activities is the name of the game! We offer a variety of activities ranging from what we call our "Georgian Lakeside University" or GLU classes, Bingo, comedy hour, cooking demos, table puzzles, cared games, music and more! No one day is the same here and our goal is to reach all corners of the community.

At The Georgian Lakeside, we’ve dedicated our lives to ensure there is purpose in every breath of each resident we’re honored to serve. Which means life extends beyond our community’s walls. We offer a shuttle service to doctor appointments, local retail shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. We're at your service!

We offer three (3) chef-prepared meals daily/gourmet dining experience. Our meals can be customized to dietary preferences and restrictions. “At mealtimes, residents gather around the table and enjoy cuisine that can only be described in one word. Mmm.” It all starts with the desire for quality coinciding with consistency. We have the most passionate team seeking ways on how to enhance their food quality, maintain creativity, meet nutritional standards, and employ menus that are tailored to the residents.

Safety is so important. We educate and train our team members, residents, and guests to first think of how to live their best life. At The Georgian Lakeside we work together to support people in making choices that move them closer to feeling the joys of life. We call this process of decision making SafetyThird. It’s a unique model that focused on the human experience. Locked doors from 9pm-8am, supplemented with constant surveillance at the front desk. Additionally, we implement accushield to have visibility on all approved guests for our residents.

Navigating the senior living world can be tough. There are no classes to teach you, no roadmaps to follow. Fortunately, you have us. Our goal is to make you smarter about the options you have available, based upon your loved one's needs and what’s going on after they move in. Communication directly from our Nurse to keep you informed on your loved one's health.

We’ve spent the last decade carefully selecting team members who share our in our vision: a future society that will stand in awe and admiration of all older adults. People who see their mission as more than just a caretaker, but as a difference maker in the lives of those who live with us. Assisted Living daytime is 1:9; nighttime is 1:12. Memory Care daytime is 1:6 and nighttime 1:9.

Our attention to detail extends to our sense of space and we take great pride in our thoughtful, intentional design. So much so, that we not only have we created beautiful, purposefully-designed environments for you, but we have welcoming spaces for your pets, aka fur-babies, too. They would be able to enjoy the front foyer, the garden, and the back patio the ranges from one side of the community to the other that outlooks the lake.

We don’t focus on giving great care. The focus is too low of a bar to shoot for. We focus on building meaningful relationships with our residents. We. Have found great care to be a by-product of great relationships. Many of our key leaders bring valuable experience to our industry from other fields. Our leaders believe that if we love our team well, they will, in turn, love our residents well. We have systems in place that assure residents are both free to explore their environment and maintain the dignity they deserve. We use both technology and team member observation to assure residents this freedom while keeping them protected.

Our attention to detail extends to wandering residents as well. These residents are generally provided with greater supervision and security and we have team members and other caregivers that are accustomed to the impulsivity and reduced safety awareness that people with changing cognitive abilities may exhibit. The team members are trained to respectfully and humanely redirect the resident to the appropriate activity or location.
