FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We have a friendly group of residents that like to listen to music and enjoy our weekly bible study. They also like the variety of musicians that come in to entertain. Our average age is approx. 89 years old.
It is conveniently located near the Hamilton Place Mall with lots of shopping and restaurant options. Also, just down the street is McKay's Used Books which is a great option to shop for books, videos, etc.
Also there is a plethora of hotels and motels within 1 mile or less. A new REI has just opened across the freeway from us as well.
To keep our costs down we do not offer transportation. What we do have is doctor's services in house with In Good Health and through them we can order x-rays, PT, OT, ST and other services that Medicare will pay for. We also have a podiatrist that comes in house to take care of the residents feet that is covered by Medicare.
We are known for our great country cooking and it is excellent. We also offer vegetarian options among other dietary restrictions.
Our facility is small so it is easy to make sure we know who is coming and going. We have alarms on our doors whenever a door is opened that will chime and then we lock them at dark every day with activated alarms when opened.
This facility is privately owned and operated and the owner/operator has each family members phone numbers in her cell and is available 24/7. We are known for our attentiveness in care and keeping in touch with family at the level they want to be involved.
First and foremost is that we have very little turnover in our staffing. Many of my staff has been here for years. So when your family member moves in they get to know the staff as family and trust is developed thru repetition and constancy in staffing.
With 24 rooms total in our facility the maximum capacity is 26 residents. We have 2 caregivers available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. One caregiver is present from 11p.m. to 7 a.m. with another one that lives in an apartment upstairs and is available if the need should arise.
Our acceptance of animals/pets is determined by review of resident and pet at time of assessment. There is a $500 non-refundable pet fee.
We have frequent in-services.
We do not accept residents that wander.
