Residents can choose from a variety of floorplans, all fitted with kitchenettes to further encourage independence. FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We have monthly ongoing dementia care training for our staff, and sometimes some specialized training for additional license necessary for the care of seniors with dementia's.
We have a diverse population in age and with varying degrees of activity, all here to Celebrate life at every age. Our residents engage in a huge variety of their favorite things.
Our programs and activities are constantly changes with new things to do each and every month.
Our Celebrations program works toward elevating our Residents physical and mental well being through six components of the program; Make New Friends, Live Better, Express Yourself, Expand Your Mind, Make A Difference, and Enjoy Life. Our Residents are truly engaged in our programming and they are living life to the fullest.
We have walking paths around and within the court yards at Autumn Wind. Less than 2 blocks West of us is a neighborhood park with park benches, to the South is a cow pasture, and to the East are horses grazing in another pasture. Our Residents enjoy walking around our quiet neighborhood with a country feel.
We utilize our bus transportation for Physician appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and also utilize it for special Resident activities and outings, such as shopping trips for groceries and supplies, or a movie night, or a lunch bunch outing to a desired restaurant.
We have a wonderfully diverse dining experience to offer our Residents at Autumn Wind. Chef Brett has been her over 9 years and goes out of his way to elevate the dining experience for our Residents. We always have two main dish choices available at each meal, and still a back up list of items available to the Residents every day if that's still not to their liking. Our Chef caters to special dietary requirements such as Vegetarian and Gluten Free, and of course altered textures and consistencies based on medical necessity per a Physician's orders.
We have a after dark or after hours lock down of the Main entrance into Autumn Wind, and all of the other exterior doors are locked throughout the day. If families or guests are visiting after dark or after hours we have a door bell they can ring to alert staff to them wanting entrance. We have routine patrols of our premises by the local Caldwell Police department, and we work very closely with them at all times. We also have a locking drawer in each apartment that ensures the residents money or medications can be locked if wanted. We also have security cameras installed in common areas for monitoring our Residents and Staff.
We have lots of communication opportunities with our family members. We send our our monthly newsletter with updates and communications for all. We notify family members via phone during emergencies or need regarding their loves ones. We call or send postcards for routine care conferences or change in conditions. We send out special event flyers and often will make phone calls too about those special engagements we'd like families to be included in. We have a very open communication with our family members.
8-10 Residents to 1 Caregiver.
We do accept Pets, so dogs and cats are allowed in common areas or outside areas as long as they are on a lease, but no allowance in the dining room.
We have monthly ongoing senior care training for our staff, and sometimes some specialized training for additional license necessary for the care of seniors.
We have a new I-Alert system that notifies our staff when the exterior doors are entered or exited. If its cause for alarm we investigate. Otherwise if we have wander risk we work with families to admit the Resident to our secure Expressions Memory Care.
