Morning Star Village is nestled in a quaint neighborhood on the northeastern side of Rockford. Seniors here live just a few minutes away from the OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, which provides high-quality care through inpatient and outpatient services. Residents can schedule medication delivery through the facility's partnership with Provena Health pharmacy or use the private exam room for on-site visits with a physician. Residents can enjoy other services right in the convenience of their community, such as the chapel, a salon and exercise room. The spacious common room features a fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating areas where residents can visit with friends or loved ones.

FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Morning Star Village hosts a wide range of residents; many residents who live here are very independent, yet we also have residents who have aged in place and need a bit more care. Our median age is right around 84; however, we have residents in their mid-sixties all the way up to centenarians!
We have a pretty lively group of residents who can be very animated and make it fun to come to work each day. Our residents enjoy attending group outings on our bus, playing card games and BINGO, as well as listening to a variety of live music opportunities in house. Social hours and craft projects are well attended and we host evening and weekend activities as well.
Morning Star Village is conveniently located in the heart of Rockford, just a couple miles north of the State Street intersection, where many popular stores are located.
Morning Star Village has bus service to errands and doctor appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. We tend to use our bus on the remaining days for activity outings, such as shopping or dinner outings.
Morning Star Village offers expanded dining times so that our residents are able to eat when they decide they are hungry. Our restaurant style service allows residents a choice of two specialty entrees, as well as a large ala carte menu, with wait staff available to take and deliver orders promptly.
Morning Star Village has a front desk receptionist on duty from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, where residents and visitors check in and out of the building. After 8:00 pm, our doors are locked and anyone attempting to gain entry are screened to ensure the safety of our residents.
Morning Star Village understands that good communication is paramount in providing quality care for your loved one. We keep open communication with each resident's representative regarding any new medications or orders, changes in condition or incidents. Our staff develop individualized service plans for each resident based on their exact needs, which can be adjusted at any time.
Morning Star Village ensures that your loved one will be well cared for at any hour of the day or night. We are staffed 24 hours a day with Certified Nursing Assistants, as well as Licensed and Registered Nurses, to meet the needs of your loved one.
Morning Star Village does allow small pets that are up to date on their immunizations and are well-behaved, provided the resident is able to care for the pet entirely. Pets must be leashed when outside of the apartment and are not allowed to enter the dining areas. Morning Star Village offers ample outdoor space for pets to frolic and enjoy the outdoors.
Morning Star Village requires a minimum of 8 hours of ongoing training each year for our direct care staff. Topics include caring for those with dementia, infection control, resident rights, disaster preparedness and fall prevention.
