Family members are able to subscribe to weekly email updates about community events and information articles. Arlington Place publishes a monthly newsletter to keep residents and community members up to date on the latest happenings.

Arlington Place at Oelwein staffs two Resident Assistants during daytime and evening hours with one Resident Assistant is on staff overnight. The Health Care Coordinator is on-call nights, evenings and weekends for direction and assistance.
Arlington Place at Oelwein's silent alarm system allows all Assisted Living points of entry to be monitored by staff for visitors and residents who may be disoriented. Arlington Place has other monitoring options available for those who need increased supervision.
Arlington Place at Oelwein's Life Enrichment Coordinator plans a variety of daily activities geared towards Memory Care residents ranging from hands-on Busy Boxes to adult coloring and Bingo, spa treatments and music therapy.
Arlington Place's Registered Nurse, the Health Care Coordinator, completes assessments on residents prior to move-in and every 90 days or when a change in condition is noted. Once an assessment is completed, the Health Care Coordinator notifies the family members to update them on a residents health.
Memory Care residents are served on red dinnerware, making food easier to see, while using picture menus to make ordering a favorite food even easier. Staff are trained in hand-over-hand techniques to aid in the feeding process for occasional assistance.
