We have a mindful approach to memory care. We want to ensure our residents have a life of diginity and purpose. We do that by programming around the 5 principles for vitality...Purposeful, social, intellectual, physical and emotional.
Our staffing levels are based upon the needs of our residents.
Eating is social experience. Our dedicated memory care team is available to ensure a good meal is eaten by residents. In addition, choices are given by visual show plates as well as colored plating and visual texture
We have a lovely walking path with many grassy areas.
Here at The Residence, we are all about choice and of course great food. Our restaurant is open from 7am to 7pm. Specials are available at every meal along with our extensive always available menu. Of course, you can have breakfast all day long
We offer transportation for doctors visits on Tues and Thursday. Wednesday our van is available to run errands.
We are conveniently located to the best shopping and restaurants - just 5 minutes away. Shrewsbury has everything you need.
We offer tranportation 2 days a week for medical appointments and one day for errands.
All residents are given a pendant upon move-in should they need anything from our care team. Our doors open and lock upon the arrival and departure of our receptionist. After 8pm... you must ring to get into the community.
We also do the" I am OKAY check" should we not see your loved one at a meal.
Our team has initial training from NIDE as well as ongoing training every month.
We are all about choices and all about GREAT FOOD. Our restaurant is open 7am to 7pm. We serve breakfast all day long. We have two specials at everymeal in addition to our extensive always available menu. Our food is prepared fresh to order using premium ingredients.
We offer programming 7 days a week. We have a variety of things going on from authors signing, to musical performances, ballroom dancing, poker, outing for dinner and lunch ...And of course daily happy hour
We are all about communication. Emails and letters are routinely sent to famiiies. We also love to send pictures and textes to families to highlight their loved one.
The Residence at Orchard Grove has maby lovely areas to enjoy. From our library, media room, our sunroom and bistro.
It is our residents' choice on who they choose to use. However, we are happy to offer reccomendation based upon our families and residents experence with different agencies.
We have monthly emails from the Executive Director. As well as emails to announce any urgent matters

Our team has monthly ongoing training in addition to 40 hours of inital training
Every resident is given a personal assesment by our resident care director prior to move-in. We then re-assess after the initial thirty days.

We have a wonderful resident population all looking to live their best life. Our median age is mid eighties. However we do have many in there seventies. Residents here love to try something new, cards , painting, the casino and so much more
