Oak Hill Assisted Living Community is a privately owned and managed corporation organized under the laws of the State of North Carolina and is licensed through the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.Oak Hill offers residents a personal and dignified home away from home. Opened in 1997, Oak Hill Living Center is situated on a beautifully landscaped 16-acre campus - a fourth-generation homestead. Oak Hill was named because of the beautiful oak trees that line the property. The 42,000-square-foot modern one-story brick building offers a variety of room options ranging from semi-private rooms with half baths to suites with private courtyards.
Oak Hill Assisted Living Community is staffed by a team of knowledgeable and caring professionals. Before being hired, each candidate is carefully screened and interviewed to ensure he or she is capable and dedicated to meeting Oak Hill's standard of care.

Our team creates a customized plan of care and service based on our residents' needs and interests including:
24-hour care by certified Aides & Professional Medication Technicians
Three well-balanced daily meals prepared on-site in accordance with residents' dietary needs
Medication administration using electronic charting
Daily housekeeping and laundry services
Bathing, dressing, eating and incontinence care assistance if needed
Full-time activity staff with on-going activities
Monthly wellness visits by a licensed nurse
Social and educational activities for residents and families
Regular visits to the community by health care providers
Transportation to activities and resources, including health facilities, shopping, social service agencies, recreation and religious activities
24- hour monitoring and safety
Partnership with Cape Fear Long Term Care Pharmacy to assist with medication management and enable residents to conveniently order medication
In-house beauty salon staffed with licensed professionals

We offer transportation to activities and resources including health facilities, shopping, social service agencies, recreation and religious activities.
Oak Hill works in partnership with multiple healthcare providers, including nurses and pharmacists, to ensure all staff receives annual training and continuing education.
We offer three healthy, well-balanced meals for residents for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In early 2022, we were pleased to welcome Nathan Stephenson to our community as Director of Resident Hospitality. In addition to ensuring residents' daily health, wellness and activity needs are met, he has been instrumental in renewing our dining menus, offering new and exciting menu options for our residents. Our passion and focus is to provide the best dining experience for our residents.
We operate on a 10:1 staffing ratio.
Instructor-led exercise programs, afternoon socials, trivia, music therapy, painting and crafting classes, book signings with local authors, and live music.
We have a regularly maintained fire alarm system, a security alarm system that is activated after hours, and round the clock staff on site.
In addition to a monthly newsletter that provides complete updates about the community, our Resident Care Director conducts regular care conferences with the residents' families to keep them informed of their loved ones care needs.

Average age is 82, most residents are independent and participate in our host of activities.
Unfortunately we do not allow pets to live at the community but they are welcome for visits as long as they are on a leash!
