We offer a memory care specific calendar of activities which is posted each month to our website.
Danbury Tallmadge has sidewalks and a path that completely surrounds the building. There is also a tree covered trail that borders our property that runs from Akron to Kent.
We have so many wonderful options in Tallmadge to see whether we go to see the area or plan a trip to enjoy all Tallmadge has to offer- one place at a time. Our residents help to decide what location we will visit next.
Our newsletter or Facebook page is a great way to stay connected with our community news. We have a open door policy with our families wishing to know more about the care of their loved ones. We offer care conferences.
The main entrance door is open from 8am to 8pm, after 8pm the main entrance is locked. All other doors to the outside are locked from the inside at all times. There are internal hallway cameras as well external building cameras that are operational at all times. The community has staff on duty 24 hours per day. IL & AL residents have keys to their to their individual apartment.
We have monthly staff meetings, on line education and on going training to best care for our residents.
We offer many life enriching activities that each person will find something of interest whether a small group or individual activity. We have crafts, exercise and entertainment. Check out our You Tube Channel to see some examples or follow us on Facebook.
We have nurses and resident care companions 24/7 to help our residents as they need more care or services.
We have a secure memory care neighborhood that uses key fobs for entering and exiting. We also have some residents that use pendants. Our community is secure with key fob entrances/exits.
We offer transportation for a fee based on the location of the appointment.
Transportation for planned group outings. Transportation to MD appointments on M-W-F. We offer transportation to appointments for our residents. Simply coordinate appointment with our team. We are her to help you get where you need to go and some fees may apply based on distance of appointment.
YES we are pet friendly! We have green space and sidewalks for our furry friends to enjoy. We offer pet services for a fee to assist residents with caring for their beloved pet.
We staff according to acuity of care. Nursing, memory care coordinator, resident companions and life enrichment make each day the best it can be for our residents.
We offer resort style amenities. Some of the favorite places to hang out at Danbury -the library, theatre, pub, bistro, exercise room, activity room, craft room, living area and common areas with fireplaces.
Our clinical team will do assessment upon admission and then quarterly unless there is a change in condition that needs assessed.
Our staffing is based on the acuity of our residents. Our Memory Care residents are never left unattended around the clock. Two nurses are on duty at all times during the day and evening hours. There are 1 -2 nurses on staff overnight as well as resident care companions around the clock checking and caring for residents.
We offer care conferences.
Memory care residents have dining room attendants as well as nursing to assist.
We have monthly staff meetings, on line education, and ongoing training to best care for our residents.
Shopping, restaurants and nearby attractions are close by for our residents to enjoy.

We are a after 55 community with a full and engaging life enrichment program. Each month we share the activity calendar on our website.
Our Chef is open to new and interesting entrees as well as offering traditional comfort foods that are resident's favorites. Evening dinners can be combined with a glass of beer or wine to enhance the meal. Contact us today if you would like to see our menu. We offer "ANYTIME DINING!" So you eat when you are hungry and not around our schedule.
We work with many area hospitals, rehab centers and skilled nursing. We offer a "aging in place" where we work with home care and hospice as residents can benefit from those services.
We have a bus and many of our residents share the places they would like to visit. Some examples are museums, shows, plays, restaurants and local attractions.
