FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
During the day and evening we have 3 Caregivers and 1 Med Tech. During the night we have 1 Caregiver and 1 Med Tech.
Our staff receive a minimum of 2 hours a month of continuing education.
We offer sit and fit exercises, book club, Wii bowling, gardening, crossword and many other activities to engage our minds and bodies.
We talk to our family members on the phone, send communications via email and mail. We also make sure when a Resident moves in that we know exactly what kind of communication each family member would like to have.
We are staffed 24 hours a day so our Residents are never alone. Our exterior doors are kept locked 24 hours a day with the exception of our front door which is locked each evening. We have a state of the art fire system to alert the staff of any problems. We also have a safety committee to address any safety issues in the Community.
We have restaurant style dining and our meals are prepared fresh daily. We have several options at each meal including an any time menu for those nights you just have to have a pancake!
We have many restaurants within driving or walking distance to enjoy. We are also close the the bike path that runs the length of nearly the entire city.
Our average age is 75. Our residents love to gather in the lobby each night and play Trivial Pursuit. They laugh a lot and reminisce about "the good ol days".
We do accept cats and dogs that are 25 lbs or smaller. We have outdoor areas on each end of the Community for our animals to visit.
We have an onsite driver who takes residents to nearby medical appointments, shopping trips, religious services, banks, postal services and more.
Although we are not Memory Care, all of our exterior doors are alarmed in the evening. This alerts the staff of any comings and goings.
