Amoroso Wellness at York offers services and activities to help residents thrive and build meaningful connections.
FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Our clinical staff is able to assist in feeding, remind and prompting our residents to enjoy their meals.
We have licensed and trained staff for elder and dementia care.
We provide at least 1 hour of care daily to all our residents with extra time based on mobility and acuity of care. We are always scheduled to over deliver on care.
Our residents range in age from 62 to 101. Many of our resident participate in our activities on campus such as bingo, baking, painting, music, gardening and playing games and cards.
Memory Care residents are encouraged to participate in a variety of shceduled activities like parties, ballon volleyball and crafts as well as free time activities like building, folding and caring for dolls or stuffed animals.
Clinical staff assesses our patients annually since our memory care is all inclusive we have no levels to assess for.
Ice cream and golf across the street. Dunkin Donuts around the corner along with a CVS.
Amoroso Wellness communicates with families via their preference of phone call or email.
Receptionist is available to provide security during hours when front door is unlocked. Door locks overnight and residents have keys to their own rooms for safety. As well as security cameras to add extra protection for our residents.
We offer transportation to Dr.'s appointments via wheelchair van or bus. We also make weekly or biweekly trips to local stores like Brown's Orchard, Macks ice cream, Dollar Tree, and Walmart.
Wander Guard is installed on all exit doors to keep wandering residents safe.
Amoroso works most often with Wellspan York Hospital though some residents do choose to go to UPMC Memorial.
We do annual assessments and call, email or text families as their preference indicates.
Amoroso Wellness offers 5-7 activities each day including, Daily Bingo, Happy Hour, nail care, exercise classes, Bible study and church services, external entertainment.
Aria- memory care unit has 2 PCA's and a Medtech as well as our RN's on staff to support as needed.
Pets are accepted here in each person's apartment. Leashed animals are permitted in the common areas with an outdoor pet designated area on the side of our building for pets to use the restroom.
Amoroso is located between a calm residential area and a golf course. We have a large property with grass, trees and lots of birds, bunnies and squirrels. Our secure unit has a private patio for our residents with some flower beds and the opportunity to always get a breath or fresh air.
Amoroso staff receive training in memory and elder care and are continuously learning.
Our Chef has been in food service as a private chef and in elder care with hospice and activities for a combined 30 years. Seven of those years we benefited from her expertise as activities director and now Director of Culinary Experiences. Marlene brings new dishes to our community by way of a tasting committee of residents and doesn't disappoint on delivery all the tasty classics that our residents love.
