FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Our community nurse assesses the residents health and cognitive functions. This is complete before move-in, 30 days after move-in and every 6 months thereafter unless there is a change in condition.
We are located in the heart of College Station, but tucked away from the hustle a bustle into a quiet and serene setting where life is peaceful.
We use the Magnolia Trails program focusing on the 5 pillars of the program: 1. Care First, 2. Environment, 3. Embracing the moments, 4. Family Connections, 5. Food & Nutrition
Every staff member receives 16 hours of on the job training and monthly trainings thereafter.
Pets are only permitted in our assisted living side of the community, not in memory care. We accept dogs under 25 pounds (breed restrictions do apply), cats and even birds.
We email families monthly to update on the wonderful activities the residents participate in through the month. We also have updates through the month if we see something that happens that we want the families to know about.
1 staff member for every 25 resident in assisted living and 1 staff member for every 7 residents in memory care.
Our front doors are unlocked between 6am until 8pm. We have a friendly concierge to greet you when you come in and help assist you in the correct direction. We have a secured memory care unit accessible only with a coded entry. Our assisted living
If more care is needed we can send a resident to either Baylor Scott & White or to CHI St. Joseph for more care.
We offer transportation to doctors appointments within a 10 mile radius of the community and Tuesday's and Thursday's.
2 care staff during all shifts.
We call families to schedule meetings to discuss any changes in health.
Our front doors lock at 8pm and can only be opened by an exit button from the inside by a staff member. Our memory care is a secured unit with care staff on schedule 24/7.
We use a specialized menu to ensure residents have food that not only tastes great, but meets the dietary guidelines for seniors. We monitor the carbohydrates, salt and sugar intakes to ensure our residents stay healthy!
