FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Reunion Court has exterior security cameras, and the front door is put on one-way entrance daily at 7pm. This allows visitors to exit, but not enter the community. Each resident door has a fire-resistant door, with an individual key. Our memory care community has secured entrance and exit doors for residents safety.
We are assisted with menu’s by Nutrition Systems who provides a Registered Dietician who approves menus. RCC prefers to serve food that is made from scratch that is reminiscent of what our residents are used to. Our Food Service Director or the cook, touches every table daily, visiting with residents and getting feedback. There will be a Food Service Committee consisting of residents and the Food Service Director. We offer 2 entrees for lunch and dinner, with eggs made to order for breakfast.
If our van is busy, or a resident needs to go outside our local service area, we will provide the number for several local transport services, that also offer wheelchair transports. If there is not a need for a wheelchair transport, there are 2 local services that you can contract with for transportation.
We are managed by 12 Oaks. All 12 Oaks properties require staff to go through their patented dementia training called the Symphony of Life. This training allows staff to have a better understanding of what our residents are experiencing with their health. This helps care friends with their approach and understanding of our residents. Our ultimate goal is to promote independence for our residents. We'll always encourage residents to feed themselves as much as they can. Our care-friends are trained on ways to help residents who need some assistance with eating and still promote independence.
Trips are scheduled weekly to the local mall and Walmart for shopping. Physician appointments are scheduled on 2 days a week for convenience.
After an assessment that will set the care level, a care plan is created. Responsible parties are contacted by Resident Care Director and a meeting is scheduled. If there is a health event, as in a fall, the family is contacted immediately. Upon return to the community the resident is assessed again by the nurse. There is an open-door policy for any family member or resident.
Our population consists of creative residents who enjoy engaging in activities where they get to create something! We're close knit here. Our residents know each other and our staff by name.
At this time our staffing needs are based on the acuity levels of our resident population. Our goal is to meet the needs timely of our residents.
We host activities that keep our residents physically well and keep them engaged. All care-friends are given a brief history on a resident when they move in. This gives them a glance at who this person is and what might bring them a spark when engaging with them.
Upon hire, each associate completes online training, and the resident care director holds monthly in-service training. On-the-spot in services by the director or resident care director is common at RCC.
Resident care director and physician will assess resident as changes are noted and reported by care staff.

We do accept pets here! We have an outdoor space in the front of the building where your furry companion can go outside. All dogs must be on a leash.
We offer regular scheduled activities, such as arts and crafts, BINGO, and card games. We also offer fun events for residents to engage in. Often our events have opportunities for families to participate and spend time with their loved one here.
