FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Staff to resident ratio is up to 1 to 10. We also have an Activity Director for the MC.
Arabella offers transportation to doctor's appointments, preferably Mondays and Wednesdays.
We have a Wellness Director that complete quarterly and change of condition assessments on the residents.
We offer at least half hour trainings per month as required by state. We also offer in-services throughout the month as needed.
Arabella offers an on-site locked memory care unit for those that wander.
We schedule outdoor entrainment for the IL residents. We also have off-site luncheons and shopping.
We do accept pets. IL residents have a small fenced backyard for their pet to roam.
Arabella is not affiliated with a hospital, but we do have resources to assist in higher care.
Residents enjoy Bingo, playing cards, entertainment, events, socializing with each other. Residents also enjoy visiting the gym and bicycling together.
We take residents to doctors appointment, preferably Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are left for activities and special outings.
Residents from IL are not able to participate in AL activities at this time, due to COVID. Unless they are signed up as a volunteer.
We offer 8-10 engaging activities per day for the MC residents. We also have hand towel therapy before each meal.
Arabella has a front door lock that can only be opened by the staff. Our parking lot is gated and opened throughout the day.
We offer over 6 choices of meal options for the residents. We are able to deliver meals to the IL residents daily. Or, they have the choice to come inside to eat in a designated area.
Kilgore offers a golf course and walking trails just around the corner from Arabella. Kilgore also has a quaint downtown area complete with food, shopping, and museums.
We do have options outside of Arabella to assist with needs Arabella is not able to provide in the IL.
Our parking lot is gated and opened throughout the day. IL residents have their own carports attached to their Townhouse.
We offer the hand towel therapy prior to meals that helps calm residents for their meal. We also use food aroma, like baking cookies or making bread.
Arabella offers 7 Townhouse that are just outside the main building. Average age is about 80. Residents enjoy walking outside and visiting underneath shade trees.
Age ranges from 60-100+. Residents enjoy being in the common areas, talking with each other and pet therapy.We
We do accept small pets for a small one-time fee. We have 2 courtyards that pets are allowed to roam around in without getting loose.
We have over 6 options each meal for residents to choose from. We offer Weekly Chef Stations and monthly Chef Demos.
We have a 1-15 ratio all hours of they day/night.
Residents enjoy a weekly trip to Walmart. Dollar Tree and boutiques are near by for shopping. Golf course and walking trails are just around the corner.
Arabella is located in a residential neighborhood near the schools in Kilgore. We are located in the same area near the ER and most physicians in Kilgore.
Employees receive at least half hour training per month of required state training. We also require an extra hour per year of Dementia training. in-service regarding dementia.
