Our Chef won Top Chef of Assisted Living Communities in Plano and was given a plaque by the Mayor of Plano. Our food is fresh and there is great variety each week. If a resident doesn't prefer one of two entrees served, he or she can select an entree from the Always Available menu. A few items from that menu are: Grilled Salmon, Chef Salad, Grilled Cheeseburger and Chicken Cranberry Salad. Our Chef can serve low-sodium meals and always offers a sugar-free dessert.
The residents of Prestonwood Court are active and accomplished seniors who are seeking belonging and great care each day. The average age tends to be 80 - 90 but we have a few younger and a few older individuals too. Some favorite things to do include attending wonderful musical events like the Texas Winds or a jazz standards singer who come to perform. Bingo is fun and well-attended as is our Silver Derby Horse Race, complete with betting and prizes. The Men's Night is fun with beer and pizza and great conversation with men only; women benefit from the Lady Overcomers group dealing with life, grief and loss every other Tuesday. Devotionals and bible study are likewise popular as is our Walking Club.
