FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
We have around 60-65 residents at Apple Tree, usually 15 men and 45-50 women. Our average age is about 70, and our residents are generally a little more independent since we are a Type I community. We love going on outings on our fun Little Red Wagon bus, having cooking classes, watching entertainment that visits Apple Tree, and playing games.
We take our residents on a weekly excursion on our bus to a destination in the community. We love going up the canyon in the fall to see the beautiful changing leaves, going to pumpkin patches around Halloween, and seeing the latest movie. We have exercise classes, cooking classes, WII bowling, Bingo, and more!
We are within walking distance of a craft store, a dollar store, grocery store, restaurants, and physicians offices.
We offer bus rides for our activities, as well as transportation to appointments and shopping, for a minimal fee.
We have delicious meals at Apple Tree! Check out a sample menu online on our dining tab, website cozyretire.com. We offer an alternate main dish for each meal, as well as a soup and salad bar at lunch and dinner. There are many options to please even the pickiest eater!
We have increased our medical staff, resulting in residents getting a quicker response if they call. All calls go to the Front Desk, which is always staffed 24 hours a day. Residents are given an assigned seat in the dining room-so they can get to know their table mates, and it is also a safety check so we can know who is not at a meal, and make sure all is well.
We have digital screens in the building that shows the Activity calendar and other events that occur. We also send information each month to families so they can also get involved. In the event of a medical issue, our RN calls and discusses personally with the family what she has discovered, and then discuss further options as a team. We pride ourselves in making sure the family is in the loop with everything!
Daytime we have a full time RN on staff in the building, and she is on call 24/7. We have CNA's on staff during daytime hours, as well as all night. We always have medical staff on site.
Apple Tree is a pet-free community.
Staff receives training at monthly training meetings, as well as specialized training each 6 months. These topics vary from Understanding Dementia, to licensing for CPR, and other training necessary to perform their jobs.
Apple Tree is a Level 1 Assisted Living. If we have a resident who is wandering, we refer their family to our sister company, Apple Village, where we have a Memory Care wing.
