FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
At Legacy House of Avondale, we have a 42-unit memory care unit, also called The Cottage. The Cottage is a secure environment with specially-trained caregivers who provide care for those with Alzheimer's disease or other types of memory loss.

That is a hard question to answer as staffing ratios may flex depending on the needs of our residents. Of course, Legacy House of Avondale is in compliance with Arizona state regulations. Most often, our company standard exceeds that of the state requirements.
There are several hospitals in the area we can refer to.
Each of our residents are given a pendant that they can use whenever they need to. It has GPS capabilities as well as being water resistant.
Residents can have pets. It is a $25/month pet fee. There is a center enclosed courtyard they can enjoy.

There are countless activities going on. Anything from board games, card games, Bingo, happy hours, entertainment, outings to museums, dining, shopping. There is also a movie theatre on site, an exercise room, bistro, large multipurpose room, library, and several card/craft rooms.
We offer a 10 mile radius for transportation.
We have a wide variety of activities that meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of our residents. In The Cottage, we also implement a program called Its Never Too Late that engages our residents, with staff and family participation too, in a wide variety of activities.
We serve meals family-style in small, but beautiful dining rooms. Residents gather together for meals - something they recall doing when they had families of their own.
We have a very vibrant community of residents in both our assisted living and memory care. Residents especially look forward to mealtime here at Legacy House of Avondale. Our chef is amazing and really takes great pride in the meals he prepares for our residents. Mealtime is the highlight of the day.
