FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Residents at risk of wandering are most secure in our specially designated Memory Care program. This program offers a smaller, more intimate and secured selection of apartments specifically designed for those with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Each resident is evaluated on an individual basis to determine what services or techniques can best support his or her needs during mealtimes. Our memory support environment offers a smaller, more intimate setting than an independent or assisted living environment.
Residents are evaluated by our Director of Health and Wellness or Executive Director and regularly evaluated. Please schedule a tour to learn more about our health evaluation process.
Our goal is to offer updated, professional and courteous communications with our residents and their family members. All management team members, including our Executive Director and Director of Health and Wellness are available via direct mobile numbers and email. In addition, we send out monthly updates, host regular meetings and are available to schedule one-on-one meetings.
Pets are an important part of our lives, so of course they are welcome at our community. All pets must have current vaccinations, vet records and be interviewed by our Executive Director prior to moving in. Once they are here, pets are welcome in most areas of the community, including our outdoor pet potty grass.
All resident apartments are equipped with emergency pull cords and personal pendants linked to our nurse call system. In addition, we are staffed 24 hours per day by licensed nurses.
We are located near your choice of hospitals in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Most of our residents move in from the nearby Galt Ocean or Coral Shores community! They enjoy meeting and interacting with all types of people as well as trying new things. Our residents are an active part of planning what types of activities occur within the community - they especially enjoy Tai Chi and have recently scheduled the class more frequently as so many want to attend!
We offer Concierge scheduled transportation via a small, handicapped accessible bus or a private luxury SUV.
