When seniors first arrive at Home of the Good Shepherd, they and their families, doctors and professional caregivers work together to create a personalized care plan. This plan is assessed monthly by a registered nurse on-site. The community's continuum of care allows a senior to age in place, meaning staff can provide for increasing needs as the resident ages. Caregivers help residents with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, oral care, laundry and housekeeping. They are also able to perform skilled nursing tasks such as blood glucose monitoring, medication management and catheter care. Culinary experts serve three meals a day in the community dining room. Daily exercise classes, social events and musical performances keep residents engaged and active with their fellow seniors.
What Residents are Saying:
Family praise the personalized care seniors receive from the staff. One family member states, "The Home of the Good Shepherd has gone above and beyond my expectations of care for my elderly parents. They take the time to get to know their residents and their families. They are caring and focus on each person and their specific and unique needs."

Our Methodology

It’s not what we research, but the way we research that makes stand out. We start by identifying problems and challenges in the senior care industry by gaining insight from conversations with industry professionals, older adults, and those that care for them. Next, our research team led by industry experts apply our data-driven research techniques to understand the magnitude of the challenge and how to overcome it. Finally, we present our findings in easy-to-understand guides and studies and share our actionable results with influencers and caregivers, as well as the general public.
