FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
All mandatory training with staffing and Relias
Our MC has 42 rooms which include private rooms with shared Jack and Jill bathrooms or a private room with a private bath. The community is shaped in a rectangle with two courtyards in the center. Some rooms have windows over looking the courtyards. We have a beautiful dining room that opens up to a discovery kitchen for residents hands on events, an aviary, large widows looking out towards the courtyard with a water feature and two seating areas with TV and activity center.
At this time because we are brand new we are considered over staffed. We will be adjusting as necessary. It's our company policy that we will carefully watch staffing levels. We will be staffing according to acuity needs of residents.
Our MC "The Journey" is a wholistic program, we look at each individuals capability and interest as well what they may have enjoyed in the past. We have two beautiful courtyards for residents to enjoy including gardening, aviary, lots of areas for walking, engagement center with full office for residents to use including mail box, activity center, full kitchen for hand on experience with cooking and baking, two seating areas as well IN2L which is a very interactive system for activates, music, fun taking world travel trips by watching the wonders of and revisiting places they may have traveled. It can skype families and calm residents with relaxing activities along with staffs assistance. We strive to engage the senses with exercise, fun with food, music therapy, religious events and services, pet therapy and much more.
We have a dog park and we are pet friendly.
Our bus as well private vehicle.
We are pet friendly with two dog parks, we are on 10 acres. We also accept cats. Our pet fee is $750.00 per pet. Pets must have Current shot records, friendly and 25 lbs or less.
All required training in addition to regular month modules in Relias
We have staff on site and available to help 24/7. We have camera's, security gates and codes.
We do not have wander risk management in AL only MC.
We offer our bus as well private vehicle to take to outings, appointments as well shopping
We have a very detailed program we use called Liveloop which allows families to connect with us as well we can communicate with them. We can send notifications, notices as well they can view all scheduled meals, activities. In addition this is used by all the management team. Families can connect with us if they wish to regarding any concerns or just check in on loved ones.
At this time due to Covid Nothing but that will change! We originally had plans for : Casino trips, theater, Apple Hill, Pumpkin patch, over night trips to Reno, Tahoe and a day trip to San Francisco.
We have staff on site and available to help 24/7. We have camera's, security gates and codes.
Our nurse, memory care director, medication technicians and care staff all are in constant communication with families via phone, email , texting or lifeloop.
Yes! Our amazing Social director is so creative and always thinking out of the box for fun activities for residents and staff!
We have an amazing variety of residents in our Cottages which are 55 or better totally independent with full kitchens, garage and patio. With Covid we are restricted to have them in our main building but that will eventually change. For now we do have a cottage set up as a club house and offer social distancing activities. Our IL apartment residents in the building will be able to partake in the same social activities as AL.
We have a dog park and we are pet friendly.
Our nurse and memory care director, assessments are preformed annually, when returning from hospital or skilled nursing or when needed.
We have any time dining made to serve. Our staff are so good and getting to know the residents likes and dislikes so they can make suggestions when having a difficult time deciding from all the amazing options. We have daily specials which include fun seasonal options as well the good ole favorites available daily.
We use color place settings to engage the senses, placement of food when serving, giving two options for meals, our dinging area is decorated in light soothing colors and in a comfortable setting.
All common areas with exception during the Covid outbreak. Theater, Health and Fitness Center with HUR equipment made especially for seniors, Art Studio, Activity center, Hair and nail salon, Library, bistro, Living room and bar for happy hour.
We ha e an on site nurse 5 days a week on call nights and weekends, Visiting physician and on site PT/OT
We have staff on site and available to help 24/7. We have camera's, security gates and codes.
Care Predict program, which is like wearing an Apple watch which detects location of resident as well detects falls in the community as well apartments. You can push a button and speak to our care giving staff to advise any concerns and emergencies. We are also a gated community.
When Covid is over, Lots of great dining options, a very active senior center, theaters, golfing. Elk Grove is a very social city, it offers lots of fun events throughout the year, we have a very involved and active chamber. Elk Grove also has a large beautiful park with duck ponds, walking paths, picnic areas as well lots of churches to attend.
We have a dog park and we are pet friendly.
We are not affiliated but are closely located to Kaiser, Methodist, Sutter and UC Davis
Our IL residents may enjoy our any time dining same as AL with exception of Cottages which may dine for the cost of a meal. We also have an out door BBQ with kitchen for fun outdoor dinging
We have a engaged and active community with our 55 or older cottages and Independent / assisted living. Ages range from 58 to 93. Enjoying social activities, happy hour, exercise programs, our expansive court yard, our putting greens are popular. Two dog parks.
Church, shopping, dining. We are close to shopping centers and conveniently close to hospitals and doctor offices
