Bickford of Scioto is a pet-friendly senior living community. Caregivers are always available to help residents with activities of daily living. Licensed nurses develop individualized care plans, communicate with families and help residents schedule appointments and coordinate care with other medical care providers. The restaurant-style dining room serves homemade meals with fresh bread and desserts daily, and residents can choose from rotating and a la carte menus. Daily activities are based on resident interests, and local volunteers visit the community to share interests and skills, provide pet therapy or hold live performances. Spiritual activities include Bible study, non-denominational services and one-on-one interactions. Residents can also sign up for community outings to local shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Our Methodology

It’s not what we research, but the way we research that makes AssistedLiving.org stand out. We start by identifying problems and challenges in the senior care industry by gaining insight from conversations with industry professionals, older adults, and those that care for them. Next, our research team led by industry experts apply our data-driven research techniques to understand the magnitude of the challenge and how to overcome it. Finally, we present our findings in easy-to-understand guides and studies and share our actionable results with influencers and caregivers, as well as the general public.
