FAQ About Manor Lake Assisted Living & Memory Care
Yes, we do accept dogs and cats, the resident must be able to take care of, feed, walk and clean up after their pet. We do have an area for the residents to walk their pet outside, again it is up the resident to clean up after them.
Right now, we have 18 residents in house we have 2 caregivers and 1 MedTech during our morning and afternoon shift. Our overnight has 1 caregiver and 1 MedTech. As we get more residents, we will be hiring more team members.
The average age of our residents is 84 years old. Our residents enjoy playing bingo twice a week, doing trivia, weekly bible study and weekly flower arranging with flowers donated from a local florist. They also enjoy sitting on our beautiful wrap around front porch relaxing, talking with each other and other staff members.
We keep all families informed by text, email and voice friend.
All of our doors are security code exit and enter. There are call bells in each suite and bathrooms in the community. The grounds are well lit as well.
There is a variety of places and things to do in the surrounding area, plenty of shops and unique restaurants right here in historic Leesburg. The Leesburg premium outlets are within minutes, Washington DC is within an hour as well as plenty of beautiful wineries in close proximity.
We do have a van, with COVID we have not been taking any trip, hopefully by summer we will be able to do that.
Every meal is made fresh in house. Our chef has many years of experience and can accommodate most dietary needs.
All staff must attend a monthly training, along with continuing education in their field and keep up with the CPR/First aid training.
All doors are secured by key code.
The activities are tailored off the resident's life passions and preferences. We host a variety of activities. They vary according to the acuity of our residents.
