Autumn Care of Altavista is located in a peaceful residential town that is filled with historic landmarks. The dedicated caregiving staff and licensed nursing staff are always available to assist with medication management and personal care tasks. The nurses check on residents on a regular basis throughout the day to monitor the health and well-being. Physicians visit the community to coordinate care and provide medical assistance as required. Staff members treat all residents with empathy and understanding and try to get to know them as individuals to provide the best-customized care for each senior. Volunteers from the local area are welcomed to the community to spend time with residents, host religious services and create musical entertainment to encourage intergenerational communication. Three nutritious meals are served on a daily basis in the communal dining room and snacks are always available.
